OSEA2010 Call for Papers is now open!

OSEA2010 International Conference will be held from 30 November – 3 December 2010.

Established since 1976, the OSEA International Conference is Asia's most recognised and foremost platform for the gathering of the oil and gas industry.  It brings together leading experts and professionals to discuss current business issues and technologies shaping the industry.

We are inviting contributions for papers that address technological advances, issues and challenges on the following topics:

How Your Abstract Will Be Evaluated

Abstracts will be reviewed based on the following criteria :
  • Relevance to the conference's theme and overall programme.
  • Inclusion of technological advancements in the oil and gas industry which have practical application to the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Technical correctness.  Abstracts should highlight application, advantages and limitation of technologies.
  • Level of interest to attendees.
  • Interest to attendees.
  • Seniority and experience of speaker - high-level or senior management speakers will be given greater consideration during selection.
Undue commercialism or the citation and promotion of trade names in abstracts and full papers will lead to automatic rejection

Guidelines to Submitting Your Abstract
  • Prospective speakers are requested to submit an abstract of not more than 500 words; together with a 100-word professional biography. Abstracts and biographies beyond the stated length will not be accepted.
  • In this initial submission, there will be no need for illustrations.
  • Abstracts must include the proposed title.
  • Do not submit more than one copy of the same proposal.
  • Abstracts must be prepared in English.
  • Abstracts must be original and not have prior extensive coverage or circulation 3 months before and after the conference, such as presentation at previous events and/or prior publication.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to adapt the information in the abstract for publication in the event's promotional materials.
  • Prospective speakers must be prepared to make their presentations in English at OSEA during the period of 30 November to 3 December 2010.
  • Speakers are responsible for their own travel and accommodation.
  • Speakers whose abstracts are selected for presentation at OSEA will be required to sign a “Copyright Form”, granting Singapore Exhibition Services Pte Ltd permission to include their final papers and/or presentation materials into the conference proceedings (printed and online). It is the speakers' responsibility to have obtained any necessary organizational clearance before submission.
The Organiser's decision on the selection of abstracts and its subsequent allocation within conference programmes is final, and no further correspondence will be entertained.

Notification on Status of Abstract
  • Selected speakers will be notified by email.  The confirmation email will be sent before/by 25 June 2010
    (In cases where additional time is needed to assess abstracts, this targeted date may be postponed.)
  • Selected speakers must respond with an acknowledgement within 3 working days to confirm their participation, failing which the initial acceptance will be rescinded.
